(1)
What DVD players will these work with?
These
DVD's will play on any computer with a windows
operating system.
(2)
I'm not sure how I move from session to session.
When
you insert the DVD into your player, first a
title screen will pop-up, then fade away.
Next,
a pop-up menu will appear on your Desktop, and
a icon-link will be added to your task bar at
the bottom of your screen..
On
this pop-up menu, there will be button-links
to each session on that DVD.
Keep
this pop-up menu OPEN on your desktop.
When
you click a session-button, your video player
will open up on your desktop and play that session.
When
the session ends, different machines will handle
this differently.
Some
machines will
(1)
Stop playing that session. You will need to
return to the pop-up menu, and click the next
session you want to see.
(2)
Replay that session. You can hit the STOP button
on your video player. Return to the pop-up menu,
and click the next session you want to see.
(3)
Stop playing that session and return you to
the pop-up menu. Then click the next session
you want to see.
If
you closed the pop-up menu, you can use your
systems Explorer or File Finder to search that
disc drive on your system associated with your
DVD player. This will typically be drive D or
drive E. Open the file menu on this drive. Double
click on the session you want to see.
There
will also be an "auto-run" folder.
Click that open. Then click on the "auto-run"
application file which will bring up the pop-up
menu again.

I know of exceptions to some of the material
presented. For example, I know that Czech manufacturers
also use coatings like the Chinese on their
glass beads.
This
ORIENTATION is designed to provide introductory
information -- a basic grounding -- for beads
and jewelry makers. As stated often in these
tutorials is the need to over-simplify some
explanations and provide broad generalities.
This gives you a good start on developing a
core, fundamental knowledge, which will grow
and evolve as you get more experience with the
various products, materials and techniques.

You didn't mention a particular stringing product
I use.
This
ORIENTATION presents the core basics. There
are many, many more products available, and
many new products come online each year.
Hopefully this ORIENTATION provides the basic
tools you will need for understanding the beading
and jewelry making world within which you will
be immersing yourself. And make it easier for
you, as well, to evaluation whether new or changed
pieces and techniques will work for you.
Also,
please email me and let me know of new products
you like and why.
